The mission of Crosspoint Kids is helping kids become fully devoted followers of Christ, and our Sunday gatherings are just one of the ways that we endeavour to fulfill that mission. Keep reading to find out what you and your kids can expect on a Sunday morning!
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Upon arrival, families should proceed to the Check-In station in the lobby (it’s bright yellow and hard to miss). Because we value the safety of your kids, we’ll need some basic information during check-in: parent/guardian’s name, email address, and phone number; child’s name, birthday, allergies, and any special instructions. Fill out this online registration form before you arrive to speed up the check-in process. You will receive a name label for your child and a parent/guardian security label which ensures that only you (and people you select) can pick up your child. A volunteer will then lead your family downstairs to our Crosspoint Kids ministry space.
At the end of the gathering, please make your way downstairs with your parent/guardian security label. A volunteer will check this label, then allow you to pick up your kids from their designated spaces.
Kids Experience
Children are welcome to join us up to 15 minutes before the gathering begins. If this is your first time visiting, it can be especially helpful to come a few minutes early to give your kids time to adjust to this new setting.
Nursery & Toddlers (ages 0-2)
This is a loving and safe environment where our littlest Crossointers are cared for and given an opportunity to play with leaders and other children. Older kids will get to experience music, storytime, and a snack as they begin their journey of becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.
Preschool & Kindergarten (ages 3-5)
This is a fun and engaging environment which encourages kids to build relationships with God and each other. Through a combination of free play, music, storytime, snack, crafts, and organized games, children get to continue on their discipleship journeys by both hearing about and experiencing God’s love.
Grades 1-4
Every week, our elementary kids will hear a true story from the Bible as they begin to see how they can also be a part of God’s story. They will get to participate in music and storytime during Large Group; then, they will eat a snack, discuss what they learned, make a craft, and play games during Small Group.
Grades 5-6
For our oldest kids, we hope to provide significant faith-forming experiences; equip them with tools for spiritual growth; and encourage meaningful, long-lasting friendships. Grades 5-6 kids will remain with their parents/guardians in the Worship Centre for the singing portion of the adult gathering, then go downstairs with the Grades 5-6 group leaders to eat snack, study the Bible, play games, and learn what it means to be a fully devoted follower of Christ.
Health & Safety
The safety of your children is very important to us, which is why we have a Crosspoint Protection policy in place. All children’s ministry volunteers are required to complete a thorough screening process that includes Police Checks, Vulnerable Sector Checks, and appropriate training. So rest assured- your kids are in loving and capable hands!
For the well-being of all kids and volunteers, we ask that anyone experiencing cold or flu symptoms remain at home until symptoms subside.
