The mission of Crosspoint Kids is helping kids become fully devoted followers of Christ, and our Sunday gatherings are just one of the ways that we endeavour to fulfill that mission. Keep reading to find out what you and your kids can expect on a Sunday morning!
Please note that in order to best comply with the current public health actions, we will not be offering preschool programming at this time. Elementary kids will remain with their families in the Worship Centre for the singing portion of the gathering, then be dismissed to go downstairs with their leaders.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Upon arrival, elementary families should proceed to the Check-In station in the lobby (it’s bright yellow and hard to miss). Because we value the safety of your kids, we’ll need some basic information during check-in: parent/guardian’s name, email address, and phone number; child’s name, birthday, allergies, and any special instructions. You will receive a name label for your child and a parent/guardian security label which ensures that only you (and people you select) can pick up your child. After checking in, your family is invited to find a spot in the Worship Centre and prepare for a time of corporate worship.
At the end of the gathering, please make your way downstairs with your parent/guardian security label. A volunteer will check this label, then allow you to pick up your kids from their designated spaces.
Ages 5 and Under
At this time, all children under the age of 5 will remain with their parent(s) for the duration of the gathering. They are invited to sing, dance, make noise, and engage in corporate worship with a united community of Christ-followers. After the singing, Praise Packs will be distributed to give our littlest Crosspointers toys and activities to look forward to during the message.
After engaging in corporate worship with the rest of our Crosspoint family, the elementary kids will be dismissed and go downstairs for a focused time of teaching and connecting with their small group leaders and peers. Everyone will be masked, and the space, teaching, and activities will be adjusted to maintain physical distancing. Grades 1-4 kids will be in Simpson Hall, and grades 5-6 kids will gather in the Fireside Room.
Health & Safety
The safety of your children is very important to us, which is why we have a Crosspoint Protection policy in place. All children’s ministry volunteers are required to complete a thorough screening process that includes Police Checks, Vulnerable Sector Checks, and appropriate training. So rest assured- your kids are in loving and capable hands!
As we continue to navigate the ever-changing realities of COVID-19, we strive to make Crosspoint Kids a space where families of all comfort levels feel welcome to attend. Some of the measures we have in place include:
- Screening questions during Check-In to ensure that all kids in attendance are feeling well.
- Masking for all volunteers and children.
- Maintaining physical distancing between households.
- Regular cleaning and disinfecting of toys and high-touch surfaces.
- Hand hygiene regularly practiced throughout the morning.
