Kid’s Kapers is a theme-based summer day-camp for children (grades 1-6) in northeast Edmonton that seeks to provide an unforgettable yet affordable camp experience. Camp runs Monday - Friday.
Our camp is set apart by the incredible volunteers that give of their resources, time and talent to make Kid’s Kapers a reality. There are teams behind the scenes that begin preparing crafts, games, stories, music, and outings for camp months in advance. Others commit to serving the kids in the community as leaders during the week of camp. Their energy, engagement, and care for the kids is inspiring.
Amid ongoing concerns about COVID-19, Crosspoint Church has been closely monitoring the latest reports from Alberta Health Services. With this in mind, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Kid’s Kapers 2020. We want to do our part in protecting our city from the spread of this virus, and believe that cancelling Kid’s Kapers is a necessary step to take. We will greatly miss the time we would have spent with campers this summer, but continue to trust in the grace and power of our heavenly Father.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
Registration is closed at this time.
Campers at Kid’s Kapers this year will be going Inside Out and Upside Down on Main Street! While on Main Street, kids will experience some of the stories Jesus told of ordinary people in ordinary situations who acted in extraordinary ways. Jesus turned lives upside down and hearts inside out through parables that challenged people to look at themselves and others in new and unexpected ways. Campers will start to see things from a new perspective and understand why character matters!
