This Good Friday, we invite you to join us for our Tenebrae (tɛnəbreɪ) Gathering. Tenebrae comes from the Latin word for "darkness." This centuries-old tradition includes reading from the gospels through the final moments of the trial, death, and burial of Jesus. We will also worship through singing.

Following the reading of each part of the story, a candle will be extinguished. After the final reading and the final candle is snuffed out, there will only be darkness and silence. The entire experience is a meditation on the suffering and death of our beloved God and Saviour.

Childcare will be provided for children age 3 and under. Children age 4 and up will remain with their parents/guardians in the gathering upstairs.
