This Good Friday, we invite you to join us for our Tenebrae (tɛnəbreɪ) service. This is a ONE CHURCH special event for the whole family.

Tenebrae comes from the Latin word for "darkness." This centuries-old tradition includes reading through the gospels from the final moments of the trial, death, and burial of Jesus. We will also add worship through singing.

Following the reading of each part of the story, a candle will be extinguished. After the final reading and the final candle is snuffed out, there will only be darkness and silence. The entire experience is a meditation on the suffering and death of our beloved God and Saviour.

Since this is a ONE CHURCH special event kids will be welcome to join the adults for the duration of the Tenebrae gathering. Please note: this event is in-person only and will not be live-streamed.
