Topic: Weekend Gathering Message Passage: 2 Timothy 3:16

The Bible’s Claim

2 Timothy 3:16-17

16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

What is “God-breathed”?

What is Scripture?

To what degree?

2 Peter 1:20-21

20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Men spoke

They were carried along by the Holy Spirit

Two Questions

Is the New Testament Scripture?

(graphe) 2 Peter 3:16; 1 Peter 5:18

1 Corinthians 14:37

John 14:26; 16:13

Isn’t this just circular reasoning?
