Songs of Summer

Come along with us as we work our way through some of the most beloved and evocative songs in the psalter. The Psalms are more than mere poetry. They instruct the mind but they also lift the heart. Most of them were meant to be recited or sung. But some were meant to be danced. Or prayed. Or wept. The Psalms dive beneath the surface of shallow faith and assault the emotional defenses. They bring to us comfort and conviction, lament and laughter, worship and wonder. You will find no simple answers in the Psalms, just bold-faced, sometimes faith-filled honesty. The late R.C. Sproul wrote, "Whenever I read the psalms, I feel like I am eavesdropping on a saint having a personal conversation with God." This summer we'll have a blend of different voices, each teaching and inspiring us from one of the Psalms. Journey with us
