Redeeming Love

In the day when the judges ruled, Israel was unfaithful. The people did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. In those days, violence, division and disobedience reigned in the land. Even so, God's redemptive hand was at work in hidden places and with unlikely people. The world of Ruth is very much like our own – lost and polarized. People clash over the body, beliefs, and pop culture. Even so, God weaves the scarlet thread of redemption through every history of God's people. He remains steadfast and true. In the book of Ruth, we learn about the character of God and how we can partner with him in his redemptive work in our world. We discover that he is loving and kind, and He deals with us this way in every circumstance. God's loving-kindness can be found wherever his people seek him. Ruth is a story of this Redeeming Love at work.
