Hi Crosspoint Friends and Family,
We have continued monitoring what has been happening regarding the spread of COVID-19. I'd like to give you an update on some of the key decisions that have been made with respect to our Crosspoint community.
1. We have decided to no longer host public worship gatherings. We feel that this is a proactive measure and is compliant with the recommendations of our provincial government. Instead of hosting two gatherings, we have combined everything into ONE 10:00 AM GATHERING. We invite you to join us online as we worship, pray, and learn together as one body.
2. We will be canceling all of our onsite ministries and closing our office doors for the time being. Our staff team will be working remotely. We will still be checking our voicemails, but the best way to communicate with us is through email or our online systems.
3. All of our offsite groups can self-determine whether or not they meet. If you do meet, we ask that you follow all current protocols for safe meetings and social distancing. Visit the Alberta COVID-19 resource page here for more information.
4. Our staff team met today for an emergency meeting to create a plan for meeting the needs of our church family during this time. We will be working hard to help us all stay connected and to care for each other. More details to follow!
Let me again remind you that we deeply care about you. If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed as positive for COVID-19 please don’t suffer in silence. Send us an email (email@example.com) or post it on Realm. We want to pray with you and reach out to encourage you.
This is going to be a difficult time ahead for many people. People are losing jobs, businesses are closing, and sickness is spreading. This is a time for the people of God to be on their knees, seeking God. It's also a time to help those in need. This is a time to share a message of eternal hope.
Let me remind you of who you are...You are the people of God, called by God, into his redemptive mission in the world. So be who you are!
