Crosspoint Church: Edmonton, Alberta, CA http://www.thecrosspointchurch.ca/the-plaza/the-inside-scoop Community Needs Assessment - Finalized! http://www.thecrosspointchurch.ca/the-plaza/the-inside-scoop/post/community-needs-assessment---finalized Wed, 11 Apr 2012 16:00:00 -0400 http://www.thecrosspointchurch.ca/the-plaza/the-inside-scoop/post/community-needs-assessment---finalized Since the beginning, we have had it in our hearts to complete a community needs assessment for northeast Edmonton - the community in which Crosspoint was planted.  We needed the right people and right season in which to conduct the study.  Finally, in September, 2011, the pieces came together and we began hosting interviews with leaders and representatives from the community.  We also conducted surveys with residents in the area and gathered census data and other pertinent information from other studies.

 

A special thanks goes to Ruth Moore for her excellent leadership of the steering committee.  We are also  grateful to the members of this team (Sandy Lancelot, Steve Winkler and Linda Poelzer), without whom this would not have been possible.  Thanks also to the many people who assisted with interviews and surveys, for Dee-Ann Schwanke's stellar writing contribution and for Rod Kurtz's assistance in setting up interviews.
